For most connect-the-dots workbook, the dots are numbered so we could follow and draw the next line. I wished it is the same for our life.
It seems like we are just dropped in open space. You'll never know which is next. No clear and sure signs, no numbers anywhere. Every step is trial and error. And once you commit errors, there is usually no turning back. "So how then should we live life?" I asked. "What should I do next?" Sometimes I can just cry and the future is as blurry as my vision.
As I was searching for answers, I came across this quote from Steve Jobs:
"You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward. So you have to trust that the dots will connect in the future. Believing the dots will connect in the future will give you the confidence to follow your heart."
In God's eyes, He has already seen the end of everything. He is saying not to worry. We should BELIEVE that one day, everything will fit perfectly. We just have to walk close to Him so He could guide us wherever His hand will take us. One day, we will look back and see that everything happened for God's perfect and great reasons that we have never imagined.
Friend, one day you will know why you had that loss, one day you will know why your deepest prayers weren't answered, one day we will know why that relationship didn't work out or why that promotion has not yet come.
Behind the scenes, God is doing a great thing. We just need to believe.
