Favor and Fruits

I have waited for more than a year for this. From the moment I decided to take care of our office plant, I desired to see it flower. Every day I would water it, cut its dried leaves and talk to it as if it were a person. I can remember those almost desperate times when I begged to see it blossom even just for once but it never came. Until I finally accepted that I might not be able to see the flower ever. However, I still took care of it as before just for it alive.


This morning while doing my morning office routine, God surprised me with a gift. The plant finally gave one cute budding flower after waiting for 1 year and 4 months! ♥ I am then reminded by God’s promise in my morning devotional:

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2

Uyy, Lord! Thanks for hearing my prayers and affirming this morning that Your favor is all around me. Even when I fail and get tired, You never forget. Indeed in the tiresome time of waiting and serving, You are working behind the scenes. You are faithful to fulfill Your promises. You are my Helper and my Savior forever!
